The Latest at the Gathering:

Sunday Gatherings

Sundays, 10:15am

The Inclusion Community Gathering is typically on Zoom or at “The Hut,” on Church Street, directly behind Cornelius Presbyterian Church.
21209 Catawba Avenue, Cornelius, NC.

All are welcome as we gather and connect in love.

Join us on Zoom!

Some of our Gatherings are held on Zoom! The order of our Gathering remains the same. Come expecting to hear music, to light candles, to pray, and to wonder together!

Prepare Your Space

In this time of gathering via Zoom, we invite you to prepare your space. Perhaps light a candle during prayer, create an altar in your home, or turn off your other electronic devices. Consider locating yourself in a place that is less distracting and more conducive to connecting with God and our community.

Participate

You’re invited to participate as much or as little as you’d like. We have a Community Conversation time in which you are invited to share your thoughts, stories, wonders, and prayers. We believe everyone has gifts to offer, a story to tell, a voice to be heard, and ears to listen. Therefore, we all share leadership at the Gathering. We typically do not have a formal sermon time, but instead a Community Conversation. Leading the Gathering is a community effort!

Give

During this time of physical distancing, we invite you to give a few different ways. Check out our DONATE page for more details. Thank you for your continued giving to Inclusion Community!

What to expect

Our Gatherings are filled with:

  • Story-telling and deep listening

  • Spiritual practices

  • Sharing meals

  • Art, poetry, and music

  • Questions, curiosity, and wonder

  • Spirit and Breath

  • Levity and depth

Names, Pronouns & References to God

At the top of your Zoom screen, we invite you to enter the name you prefer to be called and add your pronouns if you feel comfortable.

References to God in prayers, songs, and Scripture may sometimes be gender-specific. You are invited to substitute terms that reflect your understanding of the full inclusiveness of the Spirit of God.

Light a Candle

As a means of prayer on Sunday mornings at our Gathering, we light candles. How can we tend to the light with you?

Our Communion Bread

When we receive Holy Communion, we experience the love and grace of God in a tangible way. All are welcome at our table, whether you are old or young, whether you have much faith or little, whether you frequent the table or it is your first time. In order for all to partake in the one loaf of bread, our communion bread is vegan and gluten-free.

Coffee Hour

After the Gathering concludes, each week the Zoom Room is open until noon for Coffee Hour for anyone who wants to hang out, catch up, or continue the Gathering's Community Conversation.
